Hello! My name is Fannie and I'm an actor, dramaturg, and playwright, currently studying at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and with the Royal National Theatre. I'm also participating in Soho Writer's Lab 2023.I am proudly autistic, Level 2 in British Sign Language, and I regularly work with the Disabled Artists Network Community. I have trained and performed with the National Youth Theatre, Changeling Children, and The Show Must Go Online. Other training includes Rose Bruford College, Graeae Theatre Company, and The National Youth Theatre.Recently, I was a Writer in Residence at the National Archives, in Richmond. I wrote a play about the suffragette protest and arson campaign across the UK, for their education department. The play highlighted the (often hidden) lesbian and bisexual suffragettes. My writing focuses on women's history and women's rights, and how the generational trauma of women throughout history affects the lives of modern women. As a dramaturg, I specialise in feminism and its history, representations of mental illness on stage, and anti-psychiatry theatre.I enjoy tackling taboo topics with humour, making challenging women-centered theatre, and representing female rage on stage.
